How have you got to where you are today?

Ever since I can remember, creativity has been a huge focus in my life. I have always followed my passion and trusted that as long as I am enjoying the experience, I am heading in the best direction possible. There have been two main influences in my life creatively… Photography and Rockclimbing.

At different times I have embraced these things with both heart and soul, and at times combined them. No matter what the outer expression of my creativity is, the one thing that has remained constant is my commitment to follow what I love.

In a few words, describe yourself…

I would describe myself as a paradox. I have one foot in the realm of the external, the world of physical manifestation of creativity.

And the other foot in the realm of the internal, the world of non-physical awareness of being. For me, life is a blend of these two realms.

What are you spending your time on at the moment?

At the moment, I am spending my time creating a new perception and experience of what I do. I find it’s easy to become identified by a role, so I like to keep challenging myself and the idea of what I “do”. I find the best way for me to do this is through adventure and time away from all thats familiar.

Do you have a ritual for getting into the creative mindset? Or a creative process?

I wouldn’t say that I have a ritual to invoke the creative process, but I definitely am aware of certain things that support that process…

Being in nature, meditation, travel, celebration, authentic conversation, laughter and playfulness, all of these things contribute to my creative process.

What or who inspires you?

Inspiration comes from far and wide, from within, from watching, witnessing, experiencing, wanting to be better, wanting to give more, from falling down and getting up again, it moves through me and surrounds me and the more I am able to empty my head and open my heart, the more this phenomenon moves me to action.

What are you most proud of?

Each day there is something or someone to be proud of, the achievements of family and friends are an endless source. But what I am most proud of is courage. The courage I have found to follow my heart and manifest my dreams.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I grow up I want to be someone who can look back at my life and be thankful for all of the choices I made, but until then I remain a child, each day learning something more about my self and the world in which I travel.
