Blind Salida 3Blind Salida 7Blind Salida 1It’s really, really, exciting to feature the extremely talented Yann Sadi from one of my favourite places in the world – Paris! Known online as blindSALIDA, he has an unbelievable string of blue chip client work to his name.

Yann is an illustrator, custom typographer and art director, and freelances from his studio in Paris. He has worked for a huge list of amazing brands and agencies across the globe. His amazing list of clients includes… Coca Cola, Honda, Sony Playstation, Google, Orange, Gillette, Renault, AOL and Domino’s Pizza.

Yann has collaborated and freelanced with agencies including (this is only a couple of them!) Publicis Conseil, Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, Wieden+Kennedy, Studio Output, Young and Rubicam and Proximity BBDO.

For more of Yann’s awesome work, check out his website, Facebook or Behance profile.

How have you got to where you are today? I worked as a designer and creative director in various marketing and advertising agencies for a few years. After this, I moved into my own studio where I can work remotely from Paris for clients around the world.

In a few words, describe yourself… I’m 30. I’m in love with Illustrator software. No more to say!

What are you spending your time on at the moment? I’m currently working on a new project for the iPad! It has simpler shapes and textures than I usually do, but I’m really excited by this new type of work!

Do you have a ritual for getting into the creative mindset? Or a creative process? I draw every idea I have in a book. Then overtime, I build on these and see only some of them through to completion.

What or who inspires you? Everything around me: Abstract shapes in nature, the design of a cereal box, music I listen to, and of course, the work of others illustrators.

What are you most proud of? Always my next project!

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be President of the world. After I realized that this profession doesn’t exist, I decided I wanted to be an illustrator.

See more of Yann
