Four and a half years down the track, and Paul’s developed an excellent reputation for himself and his agency. He keeps himself busy with a range of marketing, design and communication projects that involve a good creative mix of brand identity, print and digital design, illustration and typography design. Some of these have been so beautifully photographed, it’s exciting to share them here!

How have you got to where you are today?

I started getting into design in high school 10 years ago. I spent the majority of my time in the design department, pretty much embossing everything. I moved through a couple of design studios, some were terrible, some were amazing and then decided I had enough skills to go out on my own in 2008.

In a few words, describe yourself…

Someone not very good at describing.

What are you spending your time on at the moment?

A few identities and a letterpress job. Also a lot of digital front end work as well.

I’m finding that print is slowly disappearing for me, so I’m stumbling my way through code for beginners to one day build the sites I design.

Do you have a ritual for getting into the creative mindset? Or a creative process?

Google Reader.

What or who inspires you?

Anyone that creatives something outside of current trends that works. Thats the biggest challenge for me personally, so I respect it massively.

What are you most proud of?

Working for myself.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Aboriginal. That sounds super weird but it’s true.
